Nine Days Chad Safari
The highlights of this Safari includes experiencing the large sandstone cathedrals and pinnacles of rocks at Ennedi, Discover the last crocodiles existing in the Sahara at the Archaei Guelt, Learn the way of life of Chadian people.
Day One: Arrival:
Upon your arrival at the airport in N’djamena, the guide from Afrikan Wildlife Safaris will welcome you and the transfer you to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at Raddisson Blu.
Day Two: N’Djamena City Tour
This morning after your breakfast, the guide will pick you up and proceed to registration of passports at the immigration office. Then you will visit Gaoui village, the sultan’s house, and the city’s main highlights from National Museum to the Great Mosque and market. Have lunch at a local restaurant. Dinner and overnight at Raddison Blue hotel.
Day Three: N’Djamena to Fada
On this day, you will take a short flight to Fada the capital of Ennedi. Upon arrival, you will be picked by the driver and transfer you to the Camp Derde for overnight.
Days Four, Five, Six, Seven and Eight: Ennedi Excursions
You have five days to explore Ennedi. You will have a chance to discover Guelta d’Archei, the only permanent waterhole in the region situated amidst a dramatic and towering gorge, where one can often see hundreds of camels drinking, their bellowing echoing around the rock walls. The guelta is also home to one of the last populations of Saharan crocodiles, and with a bit of luck, we should be able to see them. You will also see the Ennedi Mountains In the northeast of Chad refuge that was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2016 for its unique natural formations and globally significant rock art. Dating back 7,000 years, this rock art is a testament to the historic role people have played in this landscape. Every day you will depart from the camp for excursions to famous sites in this incredible Ennedi Natural and Cultural Reserve marked by cliffs, natural arches, mushroom rocks, giant labyrinths, and water catchments. Meals and dinners will be at Camp Derde.
Day Nine: Fada to N’Djamena
After breakfast, the guide will take you to take your private flight to N’djamena. A room will be available for day use depending on your flight time.
