The highlights of this trip include the hike in some of south Africa’s iconic hotspots, Game drives, Visit local villages and cosmopolitan cape town, Experience African Culture.
Day One: Arrival in Cape Town
Upon your arrival at the airport, the guide from Afrikan Wildlife will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for the dinner and overnight.
Day Two: Cape Town
After breakfast, you will go for a hike to the top of Table Mountain, taking in the views of the city bowl, peninsula, and Robben Island. In the evening have dinner at the Waterfront, or one of the great restaurants in the city.
Day Three: Cape Town to Oudtshoorn
Today, you will travel into the Klein Karoo on the famous Route 62. Along the way, try out the wine tasting.
Day Four: Oudtshoorn to Stormsrivier
On this day, you will explore the Cango Caves or visit an ostrich farm. Then cross over the Outeniqua Mountains into the Garden Route. Stop at the Bloukrans Bridge for those brave enough to try the bungee jump, and arrive in the forest village of Stormsrivier for the night.
Day Five: Tsitsikamma National Park
This morning, you will go for the hike along the famous Otter Trail, inside the Tsitsikamma National Park. This beautiful coastal trail passes the picturesque suspension bridges, and visits breathtaking waterfalls. In the afternoon, you will go to explore the forest canopy, with a tree top trekking tour.
Day Six: Addo Elephant National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Addo Elephant National Park, famous for the Addo elephants. Go for the afternoon game drive in search for the elephants, rhinos, lions, buffalo, and even leopards. Enjoying a sundowner on the way back with a glass of wine.
Day Seven: Graaff-Reinet
For this day, you will travel into the vast semi-desert of the Great Karoo and overnight in the town of Graaff-Reinet, just outside the Camdeboo National Park. You can go for the optional hike in the Valley of Desolation for beautiful views over the surrounding area, or explore this quaint Karoo town.
Day Eight: Lesotho
After breakfast, you will cross the border to Lesotho.
Day Nine: Lesotho
On this day, you can go for optional horseback riding, or mountain biking, through this beautiful mountainous country. In the afternoon hike with a local guide to discover hidden waterfalls, before watching the sun set over.
Day Ten: Drakensberg
This day, you will return to South Africa.
Day Eleven: Drakensberg
This morning, you will go for the hike along Tugela Gorge in Royal Natal National Park.
Day Twelve: Saint Lucia
You will travel through KwaZulu-Natal to Saint Lucia on the coast of Zululand. Then go for the sunset cruise on the Saint Lucia estuary.
Day Thirteen: Saint Lucia
Today, you will go on the game drive to explore Hluluwe – iMfolozi Park or go for horseback riding on the beach, or go for a walk through town and out to the beach, where you can spot hippos and crocodiles in the estuary.
Day Fourteen: Eswatini
On this day, you will cross another border into Eswatini and head for the Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary. Explore Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, which is situated in the Eswatini’s “Valley of Heaven”, the Ezulwini Vallley.
Day Fifteen: Kruger National Park
You will continue exploring Mlilwane Sanctuary in the morning. Then go for a walk to see some of the resident wildlife, then cross back into South Africa.
Day Sixteen: Kruger National Park
This morning, you will go for the full-day game drive in the Kruger Park. Experience a traditional dinner and local dancing in the evening.
Day Seventeen: Johannesburg
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Johannesburg to catch your flight back home.
