Highlight
This itinerary gives the visitors the opportunity to explore Malawi and Northern Mozambique. The activities will include cultural experience, meeting the children at Joseph’s village, the Architecture of Ilha De Mozambique, snorkeling and dhow sailing off the coast of Mozambique, village walks from Guludo and the history of Ibo Island.
Day One – Arrival
On arrival at the airport in Lilongwe, you will be welcomed by a professional guide from Afrikan Wildlife Safaris who will then take you to Kumbali Country Lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Bed and Breakfast.
Day Two and Three – Lake Malawi
Take your early breakfast and then depart Nyika for Lake Malawi. Explore the Lake Malawi on the boat, Snorkelling with the Cyclid Fish in Lake Malawi, kayaking on the Bua River, nature walks. Dinner on the beach on the shores of Lake Malawi at Norman Carr Cottages. Full board
Day Four and Five – Liwonde National Park.
You will have your breakfast then drive to Liwonde National Park. In the evening, you will go for the Sundowner on the banks of the Shire River. Then the next day go for the morning game drive viewing big herds of elephants and then Boat Safari at Liwonde National Park in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Mvuu Camp
Day Six – Blantyre.
After breakfast, you depart Liwonde National Park and drive to Blantyre. Later in the afternoon, go for community walk. Dinner and overnight at House Five.
Day Seven – Nine – Ilha De Mozambique.
After your breakfast, you will depart Blantyre and head for Ilha De Mozambique. Use the two day to explore the historical place like visiting the incredible architecture on Ilha De Mozambique and Ibo Island. Dinner and overnight at Terrace de Quintados.
Day Ten – Twelve – Indian Ocean.
After the breakfast, you will head to the Indian Ocean. Go for Swimming in the afternoon and then sundowner later in the evening. The next day, you will explore the area on the boat, Scuba Diving straight from the beach, the sandy drive to Nuarrio, Snorkelling with the Cyclid Fish, nature walks. Dinner and overnight at Nuarro Lodge. Full board.
Day Thirteen – Fifteen – Quirimbas Archipelago.
You will go to the Quirimbas Archipelago for the historical siting like the face painting of the local Macua and other historical sites. Dinner and overnight at Ibo Island Lodge or Guludo Lodge
Day Sixteen – Eighteen – Quirimbas Archipelago.
The next two days you will be exploring more of the Quirimbas region. Dinner and overnight at Guludo Lodge or Ibo Island Lodge
Day Nineteen – Fly Out
Enjoy your last breakfast of your adventure, then later you will be transferred to the airport depending on your time of departure. You can go for souvenirs before you fly out back home.
